Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 5, 2026

WristDope does not collect, store, transmit, or share your personal data. The app runs entirely on your Apple Watch. We have no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no third-party trackers.

Information we collect

None. WristDope does not send any data off your device to us or to any third party. There is no sign-in, and we do not operate any backend that receives your information.

How your device data is used

To calculate ballistic firing solutions, WristDope uses the following data locally on your device:
  • Location— used on-device for compass heading and altitude, and to request local weather through Apple's WeatherKit service. Your location is not stored by WristDope and is never sent to us.
  • Motion & orientation — used on-device to measure the angle of your device for shot calculations.
  • Your gun and load profiles — saved locally on your device so they persist between launches. They are not uploaded anywhere.

Weather data (WeatherKit)

WristDope uses Apple's WeatherKit to retrieve temperature and wind for your area. When weather is requested, Apple receives approximate location to return local conditions. That exchange is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy; WristDope does not receive or retain that information.

Third parties

WristDope includes no advertising, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party data collection of any kind.

Children's privacy

WristDope does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date.
